...even thought I only wanted to use this journal for my pictures there is something I have to get of my chest.

I participated at the Magnificent Seven Stocking over at Live Journal. It is was really an amazing idea and I had a blast of a time. Creating something individual for each member was a challenge I really enjoyed. Some of the gifts I received where just awesome and I loved everything I got. And I will participate again - that's for sure, cause it was really fun.

Hi! I stumbled across this while surfing the 'member posts' in the Mag7Daybook (and kinda screeched to a halt when I saw the nummy pics) and I have to say I am truly surprised there is a Mag7 Stocking Stuffer comm! Now I wish someone had mentioned it on the Daybook because I missed it.

I looked at the comm and was it supposed to run so late? It seems like stockings were not stuffed until January? Most stocking comms I've ever seen have their gifts given by Christmas so I'm wondering if maybe those recipients assumed they didn't get anything? I can't speak for anyone but I can say at least one of those people are very ill right now and another one seems like a sweetheart everywhere else I've seen her. I'm so surprised more people didn't say thank you.

Like I said, I can't speak for anyone but while I'm here do you mind if I snag a couple of these things for my own personal ogling? You did a lovely job on the graphics and I'm ridiculously partial to the Chris stuff (and Buck and Vin and Ezra and... ). Maybe next Christmas I will see you in the comm? I plan on joining it, definitely. I'm only sorry I missed it completely and you were disappointed your first year out.

Hi. Thanks for your comment and for putting my head right again. I had a bad day when I wrote this but that is as lame an excuse as they come.
People have a life outside the net and have their reasons for not doing something somebody (in this case me) expect them to do. 'Specially me shouldn't point the finger at anybody looking at how seldom I update my journal.

Thank you very much for putting me straight again. I really appreciate that - I mean it. That very gentle kick in the butt was what I needed. Next time I'm out of line like that again you got permission to kick really hard :)

You go ahead and snag whatever you want. I'm really happy you like what I did. And I'm looking foeward to see you on the stocking exchange next time :)

You did a lot of work on these and you were really good to everybody in the stocking comm so I can understand why you would be upset. I would have been disappointed, too.

DJ_aida (she's the one who has been very ill) started a Mag7 graphics comm a few months ago and I've been pimping, hoping to get more people to join. Would you be interested? Mag7 doesn't get nearly enough graphics love and the comm isn't just for wallpapers but any larger graphics. Have a look, ok? I would love to see some of your work there. :)

Don't get me wrong but it wasn't work for me at all but rather pure entertainment. Challenging me to get the right gift to the right person and I had a blast. Even trying my hand on gifs which I never had done before. So it wasn't really about not getting any appreciation for the pics cause I don't really need that. Creating them is so satisfying to me that I don't really care what others think about them -sorry if that sounds arrogant but I don't know how to explain it in any other way.
But that everybody that contributed was just being taken for granted was what bothered me that day. And you see that so often on the net.

I've got a side (http://www.angelfire.com/pe2/mag7/index.html) where I keep my work and which I haven't updated in ages - there is that "don't point your finger at others if..." theme again :) - if you're interest in some of my earlier work. The Magnificent Seven used to have a very active graphics community before everybody moved on to LiveJournal, Twitter aso. Kinda wondered myself why it never revived again. Maybe DJ_aida's comm will start to bring it back :)
